We have 86 partners and over 220 solicitors. Over half of our partners trained with the firm.
Macfarlanes was founded in the City of London in 1875 by George Watson Neish. He was joined in partnership by John Embleton Macfarlane in 1894. His sons and grandsons continued the tradition of the firm and in 1962 it adopted its current name Macfarlanes. We have never merged.
Our clients include some of the world's most successful and ambitious businesses and business leaders, from multinational companies to high-net-worth individuals.
We advise our clients across a broad range of areas, not only across the full range of corporate and commercial matters, but on their private affairs also.
Macfarlanes won "Law Firm of the Year" at the British Legal Awards 2014.
