History

Macfarlanes was founded in the City of London in 1875 by George Watson Neish. He was joined in partnership by John Embleton Macfarlane in 1894. His sons and grandsons continued the tradition of the firm and in 1962 it adopted its current name Macfarlanes. We have never merged.
