Instructed to obtain a worldwide freezing order for $170m against Viktor Kozeny

We were instructed by AIG and other Wall Street investors to obtain a worldwide freezing order for $170m against Viktor Kozeny (also known as the Pirate of Prague).  Reciprocal proceedings were brought in a number of different jurisdictions to freeze assets.  The freezing orders were also extended to assets held in family trusts.  The substantive proceedings related to investments in the Azerbaijan privatisation programme and, in particular, to obtain control of the "Oily Rock" oil fields in Baku.
