David joined the firm in 1992 and became a partner in 2004. He is a corporate partner and is also responsible for knowledge management, professional support, access to information, the development of precedent documentation, as well as legal education and training across the firm.

In this regard he works closely with the firm's team of professional support lawyers, library staff and other information professionals so as to ensure fee earners are aware of, and able readily and efficiently to access, the firm's accumulated expertise, together with the latest developments in law and practice relevant to their area of specialisation.

David's personal area of specialisation is corporate law and the regulatory regime applicable to listed companies in the UK, although he also advises on general company law issues, mergers and acquisitions, private equity and other share investments.

David is chairman of the firm's education and training committee and is a member of its risk management and IT committees.
