David qualified as a solicitor in 1993 and became a partner in the firm in 2000. He deals with all aspects of office, industrial and retail investment and development. He has considerable experience of complex funding deals for limited partnerships and specialist knowledge of Enterprise Zone development schemes and data centres.

David has acted for administrators on distressed property and handles all manner of landlord and tenant work, advising on a number of recent West End and City office moves.

David leads the firm's real estate relationships in Germany and Ireland.

Recent highlights include advising:

• LXB Properties Plc on a £110m share placing;
• US law firm Seyfarth Shaw on the lease of its first London office;
• Mountcity Investments on a joint venture to develop a £60m residential site in Chelsea;
• Spire Technology on the sale of its Welwyn Data Centre site to the occupational tenant for £49m;
• two private investment funds on the acquisition and development funding of two speculative data centre sites in the north-east of England for a combined acquisition price of £263.5m;
• data centre development projects for a dedicated fund in the UK, Frankfurt, Munich and Zurich;
• Sonatrach International on its first London office acquisition; and
• administrators on the disposal of a distressed property portfolio comprising 39 office buildings across the UK.
