3i
Acted for 3i on their entry into a joint venture between Societe Generale’s SG Corporate and Investment Banking arm and Barclays Private Equity with a £150m commitment, this was one of the largest equity funds in the secondary PFI market.
Alma Mater
Acted on the fundraising of this fund for 3i which was both the significant cornerstone investor in this fund and one of the two fund managers, alongside Barclays Private Equity. This fund was jointly established between the two managers and it concentrates solely on the construction, refurbishment and operation of student accommodation within the UK.
British Airways Pension Fund
Acting for the British Airways Pension Fund in relation to a range of investments including its recent investments in Equitix Fund I, which invests in PPP, PFI and infrastructure companies/projects across the UK and Europe, and Macquarie European Infrastructure Fund III.
Hermes
Acted for Hermes, the in-house investment arm of the BT Pension Scheme with approximately £35bn of assets under management, in the establishment of Hermes Infrastructure I LP. This is a £390m infrastructure fund which was seeded with a selection of infrastructure fund and direct infrastructure investments.
Partners Group
Advise Partners Group in relation to their proposed investments in funds in Europe and worldwide including 3i managed and Santander sponsored infrastructure funds. Partners Group is a global alternatives asset manager with CHF19.6bn in private equity assets under management.
