Acting for 1Malaysia on two well-publicised High Court trade mark and passing off disputes with Group Lotus plc relating to: i) ownership of the Formula One mark TEAM LOTUS and the green and yellow livery; and ii) the advertising and marketing association between Team Lotus and Caterham Cars. Both were heard as speedy trials within four and six weeks respectively.

Acting for a head of state in defending proceedings on the basis of sovereign immunity.
A purchaser
Advising a purchaser in relation to a number of breach of warranty claims arising out of sale and purchase agreements for substantial petroleum assets in southern Africa - involving LCIA arbitration and expert determination proceedings.
Anglo-American plc
Acting for Anglo-American plc regarding environmental warranty claims in relation to a site in Canada.
Associated Contracting & Consulting Limited
Acting for Associated Contracting & Consulting Limited in relation to a group action in the Seychelles concerning claims for loss, damage and injury following an environmental incident at a construction site.
B&Q plc
Advising B&Q plc in relation to a £10m High Court claim against a building contractor in respect of defective work in the construction of one of the largest distribution centres in Europe.
Bank of New York Cayman
Defending Trustees in a substantial claim for breach of trust in connection with the investment of funds for substantial family trusts administered in the Cayman Islands.
City Index
Advising City Index, one of the leading providers of spread betting and CFD trading services, in a dispute over the construction of a contract with an introducer of business, Interactive Investor. The matter was resolved in City Index's favour by the Court of Appeal in 2011.
Firth Rixson
Representing Firth Rixson companies as the principal Respondents in landmark proceedings brought by the Administrators of Lehman Brothers (Europe) about the meaning and effect of provisions contained in the most important standard market agreement in the financial world, namely the Master Agreement of the International Swap Dealers Association (ISDA).

Advising ICAP in relation to its major litigation, contractual disputes and regulatory issues. Our work includes advice on high profile employment claims and disputes arising out of transfers of teams within their highly competitive industry. Independent directors of TNK-BP
Advising the independent directors of TNK in relation to the ongoing dispute between the shareholders in TNK-BP, a joint venture between AAR and BP, which are the subject of an arbitration concerning BP's attempt to enter into a joint venture with Rosneft concerning the development of the Kara Sea project.
Salford Capital Partners
Advising Salford Capital Partners, a private equity house, on proceedings being heard together with cases between Boris Berezovsky and Roman Abramovich and Boris Berezovsky and the Estate of Badri Patarkatsishvili in the High Court. These cases comprise the most substantial litigation currently before the English High Court.
Trafigura
Acting for Trafigura Beheer B.V. and Trafigura Limited on the Abidjan personal injury litigation, the largest group litigation claim ever brought before the English Courts - some 30,000 claims were brought against Trafigura. After nearly three years of litigation, the case settled shortly before trial was due to commence.
Umbro
Advising sportswear manufacturer, Umbro, on a number of retail and licensing disputes across numerous jurisdictions, including Colombia, Ecuador, Africa, Indonesia, China, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands and the UK.
