Advising Pernod Ricard on the bulk transfer of active members
from the Allied Domecq Pension Fund to the Chivas Brothers
Pension Scheme and the merger of the Allied Domecq Executives
Pension Fund with the Allied Domecq Pension Fund. We also
advised on section 75 debt management issues.
Royal Doulton Pension Trustees Limited
Advising the trustees of the Royal Doulton Pension Plan on
proposals to rescue the company, part of the Wedgwood Waterford
Group, that went into administration in the first week of 2009.
Textron Inc.
Acting for the US-based global engineering company, Textron Inc.,
on restructuring the liabilities of the David Brown Pension Plan as
part of its disposal of its trans-national Fluid & Power businesses.
Thorn Limited
Acting for Thorn Limited in the largest UK buy-out of 2008 involving the transfer of £1bn of pension liabilities from the Thorn Pension Fund to Pension Insurance Corporation and providing benefit improvements at about 5 per cent.
