Acting for the family office of a high-net-worth individual in connection with its sale of 19 limited partnership interests to three different secondaries funds.

Acting for 3i in relation to a sale of a portfolio of 12 companies to Saints Capital for approximately £100m.
Goldman Sachs Asset Management
Acting for Goldman Sachs Asset Management on the €950m acquisition of, and investment in, an ABN AMRO portfolio comprising 20 portfolio companies managed by AAC Capital in the United Kingdom, Benelux, Sweden and Finland. We have also acted for Goldman Sachs Asset Management on a number of portfolio transactions.
Graphite Enterprise Trust Plc
Acting for Graphite Enterprise Trust Plc in connection with its disposal of interests in ten funds to AlpInvest Partners NV, generating proceeds of approximately £47.1m and releasing Graphite from undrawn commitments of approximately £45.2m. The transaction allowed Graphite to improve significantly the strength of its balance sheet.
Hermes Investment Management Limited
Advising Hermes Investment Management Limited, the pension fund investment manager owned by the BT Pension Fund, on the disposal of its private equity investment funds management business to Bridgepoint Capital.
Lexington Capital Partners
Advising Lexington Capital Partners on the acquisition of a portfolio of partnership interests from a large financial institution.
The Royal Bank of Scotland plc
Advising The Royal Bank of Scotland plc on its transfer in December 2007 of 19 UK and US portfolio investments with a value of approximately £700m into a special opportunities third party fund.
Vision Capital
Advising Vision Capital on its acquisition of seven companies from Legal & General Ventures and on the acquisition of BrightHouse and Thresher from Pensions Corporation. We have also acted for Vision Capital on acquiring a number of portfolios of non-core businesses from listed corporate vendors, including: the £160m acquisition of Park Cakes, Pork Farms, Fletchers Bakeries and Smith Flour Mills from Northern Foods plc; and the acquisition of four businesses in the nuclear and rail sectors in the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada from AEA Technology plc.
