Macfarlanes advises long standing client Ares Management on providing financing to Lovell Minnick on the merger between London & Capital and Waverton

Macfarlanes has advised funds managed by global alternative investment manager Ares Management on its provision of financing to US based private equity firm Lovell Minnick Partners (LMP) in respect of the acquisition and merger of UK based wealth management company Waverton Investment Management with its existing portfolio group London & Capital Group.
The merger is expected to create an independent wealth and asset manager with assets under management over £19bn.
The Macfarlanes team was led by finance partner Andrew Perkins with assistance from senior counsel Pinar Celebi and associate Natasha Ahmed. Corporate and M&A advice came from partner Stephen Pike and senior associate Lauren Nimmons, with tax expertise provided by senior counsel Shaul Steinberg.
