2017 changes to the taxation of non-domiciliaries
Just over two years since the announcement of one of the most radical changes to the taxation of non-domiciliaries, the government has confirmed that it intends to press ahead with the proposed changes.
The legislation will be introduced into Parliament in the “summer” Finance Bill when Parliament returns in September. However, amended draft legislation was released on 13 July 2017.
This note details the changes in deemed domicile status, rebasing, cleansing mixed funds and business investment relief.
