Macfarlanes announces appointment of Neill Blundell as head of corporate crime and investigations

Macfarlanes is pleased to announce that Neill Blundell will be joining the firm as a partner and head of corporate crime and investigations in the disputes and investigations team.

Neill will focus on corporate criminal investigations and compliance advice, particularly in relation to regulatory issues, anti-bribery and corruption and the Criminal Finances Act.

Head of litigation Iain Mackie comments: “We look forward to welcoming Neill to the team. He is a leading figure in the market with an impressive track record and diverse skillset which will be valuable additions to our practice.”

Senior Partner Charles Martin adds: “The increasing move in the regulatory sector towards the criminalisation of misconduct, and the introduction of criminal offences across a broad spectrum of regulation affecting our corporate clients – such as bribery, the Criminal Finances Act and environmental matters – makes this area of work a really important and valuable one to our clients.  Neill will be doing advisory and investigations work as well as litigation and prosecutions working with our existing teams in related fields.”
