Robert is active in all fields of corporate law, advising on a broad range of corporate transactions, particularly for listed clients.

In addition to transactional work, Robert advises a number of issuers in respect of their on-going corporate advisory work, including on governance, controls and risk management issues and in respect of investigations.

Robert is a member of the City of London Law Society Company Law Sub-Committee and of the Securities Sub-Committee of the International Bar Association.

Advising Supermarket Income REIT on its migration from the Specialist Fund Segment of the London Stock Exchange to the premium segment of the Official List of the Financial Conduct Authority and to trading on the premium segment of the London Stock Exchange’s Main Market for listed securities.

Supermarket Income REIT

Advising Supermarket Income REIT on multiple secondary fundraises since its IPO in 2017 and various corporate acquisitions, including advising on a joint venture backed by the company on the acquisition from Aviva of 25% stake in one of the UK’s largest portfolios of UK supermarket properties.

Advising Panmure Gordon, acting as acting financial adviser to the bidder, on the £1.bn offer for TalkTalk by a new vehicle established at the direction of Tosca Fund Asset Management and Penta Capital.

Advising the founder of Arrow Global Group in connection with the £560m offer for the company by investment funds managed by TDR Capital LLC.

VTB Capital

Advising VTB Capital, acting as acting financial adviser to the bidder, on the $6bn offer for KAZ Minerals by investment company Nova Resources.

Advising Universal Coal plc in respect of the hostile takeover offer by made TerraCom.

Hogg Robinson Group

Advising Hogg Robinson Group in respect of the sale of its Fraedom division to Visa and on the sale of the remaining Hogg Robinson group to GBT American Express.

Advising LXB Retail Properties in respect of its scheme of reconstruction.

Advising Canaccord Genuity in respect of the IPOs of Litigation Capital Management on AIM and Volution Group on the main London market.
