Jeremy Courtenay-Stamp Partner
Jeremy specialises in commercial contracts and intellectual property. His core practice is centred on providing the firm’s corporate and entrepreneur clients with advice on their operational contracts and arrangements and in particular joint ventures, licensing, franchising and outsourcing arrangements.
Jeremy has particular experience in acting for clients for whom intellectual property (whether brand or technology based) is a key asset and heads the firm’s recognised leading brands practice, which is fortunate to count amongst its clients some of the world’s leading brands. Jeremy is a recognised expert in the fields of advertising and marketing, sports law and franchising.
Jeremy started the firm’s now substantial sports law practice nearly 20 years ago when he was engaged by Sir Jackie Stewart to form the Stewart Grand Prix Formula One Team. Since then he has acted continuously for F1 teams, as well as sponsors and promoters in both F1 and other motorsport series.
Jeremy has also acted for clients in buying and selling Premier League Football teams and has extensive experience in the world of horseracing.
Jeremy served for many years on the City of London law society commercial law sub-committee. He sits on the firm’s finance committee and serves as a non-executive director of one of the country’s largest private family offices.
