Reward and regulation
Kaniz provides support on a wide range of remuneration and financial regulation policy issues, monitoring and advising on the implications for business as they arise from proposals through to enacted legislation.
Kaniz spent the last two years at the Financial Conduct Authority where she was responsible for leading the policy development and monitoring the implementation of a number of regulatory frameworks affecting the UK’s financial market. These included the introduction of "The Directory" as part of the Senior Managers and Certification Regime (SM&CR) and the FCA’s initial proposals on remuneration which form part of the new Prudential Regime for Investment Firms.
Prior to that, Kaniz spent 3 years working in policy with the Maltese Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the United Nations and EU institutions.
