Steven Murrell Senior Associate
Steven has a general practice but specialises in property litigation. He acts for a wide range of landlord and tenant clients, primarily in the commercial sector (investors, developers, PLC's, financial services etc), but also high net worth individuals in the residential sector.
In the main, Steven’s work involves acting in proceedings for new leases under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, both contested and uncontested for landlords and tenants alike.
Steven also deals with boundary disputes, nuisance claims, party wall disputes, possession actions (squatters / forfeiture) and claims arising out of breaches of covenants in leases, for example, dilapidations, recovery of arrears of rent (to include claims against former tenants and guarantors), the breach of alienation provisions and advising on the consequences of tenant insolvency.
Steven is a Solicitor Advocate and member of the Property Litigation Association.
