Macfarlanes are advising Legal & General (L&G) Asset Management on a strategic partnership with Blackstone that will combine the strength of L&G’s and Blackstone’s respective credit platforms to enhance L&G’s competitive advantage in annuities and bolster its asset management proposition in key geographies and channels.
Macfarlanes will provide L&G Asset Management with legal advice and assistance on the structuring and establishment of the fund structures necessary for clients to access Blackstone’s private credit origination platform that provides a pipeline of diversified investment-grade assets.
The Macfarlanes team is being led by Investment Management Partner Lora Froud with assistance from Senior Associate Sandeesh Shah and Associate Harry Middleton. Private Funds advice is being provided by Partner Harriet Miller and Tax advice is being provided by Partner Sarah Shucksmith.
