Immigration cap reached for the first time

|

1 minute read

As predicted a number of months ago, the monthly Tier 2 (General) Restricted Certificate of Sponsorship (RCoSs) has been reached for the first time.

This means that, going forward, UK employers are going to find it increasingly difficult to recruit the non-European Economic Area (non-EEA) nationals they need to fill specialist roles where they have been unable to source suitably qualified local workers.

This publication sets out:

  • an explanation of the immigration cap;
  • details of how meeting it will affect UK employers looking to employ non-EEA workers; and
  • how we can assist in managing the effects and consequences of the cap regularly being reached.
