1 minute read

Macfarlanes has advised leading European private equity firm Exponent on its carve-out acquisition of Optimas International, a leading global distributor of mission-critical fasteners and c-class components supplying blue-chip OEM customers across a range of industrial end-markets across the UK, Europe and Asia.

The proposed transaction will see Exponent partner with Optimas International’s management to accelerate organic growth through investment in commercial and operational capabilities, alongside selective M&A opportunities to broaden the offering and better serve existing and new customers across their supply chain requirements. This marks Exponent’s ninth corporate carve-out over the last decade.

The Macfarlanes team was led by Head of Private Equity Alex Edmondson with Competition Partner Malcolm Walton, supported by Senior Counsel Martha Campbell and Associate Danny Talbot.
