Macfarlanes is advising Sir Stelios Haji-Ioannou and his investment vehicle easyGroup Ltd on the £5.7bn recommended offer for easyJet plc by Apollo Global Management Inc.
The transaction is currently expected to complete by the end of the first quarter of 2027, subject to the satisfaction or waiver (where applicable) of certain conditions.
Sir Stelios is the founder of easyJet and, together with members of his family, also its largest shareholder, holding approximately 15.31%. easyJet is the leading brand in the broad portfolio of the “easy” family of brands, which is owned by easyGroup Ltd.
The Macfarlanes team is being led by M&A Partners Max Mittasch and Adam Campbell.
