Alicia advises on a broad range of tax and structuring matters but has a particular focus on advising in relation to the formation and structuring of private investment funds and investment management businesses, including family-owned investment management businesses and investment platforms.

Alicia’s clients range from large international investment fund managers to family investment platforms and the executives that operate them.

Alicia has advised on fundraisings for a number of our investment fund clients operating in private equity, credit and hedge fund strategies as well as family office investment platforms and particularly specialises in advising on structures which involve the interaction of UK and non-UK tax considerations. She has a particular specialism in structures which include both a UK and US nexus and has spent nearly a year on secondment within the tax group of a leading New York law firm.

Alicia is a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT).

  • Advising Polus Capital Management on the launch of Polus Special Situations Fund, which has raised commitments of €890m.
  • Advising London-based investment manager Warwick Capital Partners on the third vintage of its European opportunities strategy, Warwick European Opportunities Fund III, which has successfully held a final closing at $430m.
  • Advising a large pan-European private equity firm in relation to the establishment of its investment advisor entities, fund structure and carried interest arrangements.
  • Advising a large pan-European investment manager on the structuring of its global carried interest arrangements.
  • Advising multiple European special opportunities and credit fund asset managers on their fund structures, carried interest and co-investment arrangements.
  • Advising several private families on establishing investment management platforms and investment management entities through which their private wealth may be managed.
  • Advising August Equity on closing of Flagship Fund VI at £350m.
  • Advising Notion Capital on closing of Notion Opportunities Fund III at $130m.
  • Advising the lead investor in a continuation fund to purchase Froneri.
