Andrew is an Assistant Manager within the valuation and financial modelling practice that provides valuation and financial modelling advice on transactions, tax, accounting and fund governance matters.
He advises clients on tax valuations including management incentive plans, EMI schemes, carried interest, growth shares, earn-outs, and legal entities. Andrew assists clients on live transactions through the practice's financial modelling offering and has experience in developing buy-side/sell-side fund flow models and share capital tables for companies with complex shareholding arrangements.
He also advises clients on accounting valuations in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and UK GAAP (FRS 102), including share-based payments (IFRS 2) and complex securities (IFRS 9).
Andrew advises alternative investment funds on valuation policy, validation of net asset value in accordance with International Private Equity and Venture Capital Valuation (IPEV) guidelines, review of third-party valuations, and the valuation of portfolio companies or positions for various private capital managers.
Andrew works closely with the other specialist teams and legal advisers.
He holds an MSc from Warwick Business School with an Undergraduate degree from Trinity College Dublin and joined Macfarlanes in 2022.
