Angus leads the non-contentious side of our Construction and Engineering Group. He specialises in all aspects of construction law, predominantly advising developers and investors on major development projects.
Angus acts for a broad spectrum of clients including developers, funders, owner occupiers, tenants and consultants. He advises on procurement strategies, building contracts, consultant appointments, warranties, third party rights, bonds and guarantees. He also advises on construction aspects of agreements for lease and development and funding agreements.
Angus is a member of the City of London Law Society Construction Committee and has an MSc in construction law and dispute resolution from King's College London. Angus has a particular interest in Building Safety Act issues.
Experience
- Advising a joint venture between Stanhope and Cheyne Capital on the acquisition and development of Row One, a landmark office development on London’s South Bank.
- Advising Legal & General’s Build to Rent fund on the development of its New Acres site in Wandsworth, comprising 1034 residential units across 18 buildings.
- Advising on the extension and comprehensive refurbishment of the Ritz Hotel London.
- Advising Magnavale on the development of a first of its kind automated cold storage facility at Easton.
- Advising Legal & General and Goldacre on the development of a £750m sustainable, urban hyperscale data centre in the London Borough of Newham.
