Bahar is a Senior Manager in the Transfer Pricing team. She advises multinationals on transfer pricing issues from advanced planning and structuring, economic analysis, and documentation, to management of high-profile, contentious tax and transfer pricing audits.
She advises a diverse range of clients - including UK, EMEA and US multinationals, financial institutions, fund managers, private equity firms, and family offices - delivering seamless, end-to-end transfer pricing solutions that are fully integrated with broader tax and legal strategies.
Bahar prepares accurate and comprehensive transfer pricing documentation essential for meeting local compliance requirements and withstanding regulatory scrutiny including policy papers, master and local files and thin capitalisation reports.
She assists clients with advance pricing agreements (APAs) and mutual agreement procedures (MAPs) in the UK and globally. In addition, she has experience in relation to tax audits and litigation.
Experience
- Assisting a large diversified investment manager in submitting a bilateral Italy/UK APA application to HMRC and negotiating the APA with HMRC.
- Advising a retail investment manager in transitioning from a TNMM transfer pricing policy to a residual profit split methodology and ongoing advice in updating the transfer pricing policy.
