About

Chloë specialises in international commercial litigation and arbitration for corporates, family offices, financial institutions and high-net-worth individuals.

Chloë's recent experience has involved disputes concerning shareholder disputes and failed joint ventures, directors’ duties, post-M&A disputes, fraud and conspiracy, enforcement and breach of contract claims in various industries and sectors.

Chloë acts for a broad range of clients in cases involving jurisdictions all over the world, including the UK, the US, throughout Europe, the Caribbean, Singapore, Uganda, India, Indonesia and Mexico.

She is a Solicitor-Advocate with experience of arbitration under many different arbitral institutions including LCIA, ICC, SIAC, CIETAC, DIS, LMAA, Swiss Rules and ICSID.

In 2020, Chloë spent time on secondment to the Litigation and Regulatory team at Goldman Sachs.

In 2015/2016, Chloë was seconded to a leading German law firm where she advised clients in relation to various international arbitrations (both commercial and investment treaty).

Chloë is a member of the inaugural City of London Law Society Arbitration Committee and of the LCIA Users’ Councils. She is also a member of ArbitralWomen and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

Experience

  • Advising a shareholder-director in an unfair prejudice petition brought in an LCIA arbitration.
  • Representing three international litigation funders in an LCIA arbitration to enforce a funding agreement against a funded party.
  • Advising seller clients in relation to a post-M&A dispute and their earn-out payment claim in the face of a series of counterclaims.
  • Representing Trustee clients in respect of a series of contentious issues surrounding the sale of a business of significant value.
  • Representing PGA European Tour in securing the dismissal of high-profile disciplinary appeals by 12 pro golfers on the grounds of restraint of trade, breach of competition law, and procedural unfairness.
  • Advising a Kenyan client in respect of an LCIA arbitration brought against a former partner in Uganda in respect of a solar energy power plant.
  • Advising a Mexican shipping client in an ICC arbitration concerning commission payments.
  • Advising a London listed company on a substantial commercial arbitration in Singapore and providing on-going advice in relation to certain other international proceedings and regulatory issues, including bribery and corruption policies, an FCA investigation and related enforcement action (including obtaining a worldwide freezing order).
  • Advising a German company in respect of a Swiss Rules arbitration against an Italian company relating to a failed joint venture.
  • Advising a professional services firm in relation to potential negligence.
