Chris has experience both in arbitration and in High Court proceedings, often spanning multiple jurisdictions and across a range of sectors, including financial services, hospitality, cryptocurrency and private wealth.

He acts for a range of clients, including large corporates, banks, trustees and high-net-worth individuals. Chris also has experience advising on a variety of internal investigations, employment disputes and cases relating to data privacy.

Experience

  • Successfully defending 13 individual Bitcoin developers in a preliminary issue trial in several different claims relating to Dr Craig Wright and concerning the identity of (and Dr Wright’s claim to be) the pseudonymous inventor of Bitcoin, “Satoshi Nakamoto”.
  • Acting for an individual shareholder in a substantial unfair prejudice petition raising serious conduct allegations over multiple decades.
  • Advising the Trustee of a trust of a high-net-worth family over a dispute in relation to allegations of historic breaches of duty.
