Chris acts for credit funds, banks, alternative lenders, speciality finance providers and borrowers on a wide range of financing transactions.
Chris predominantly advises lender-side clients on a broad range of domestic and cross-border finance transactions including: investor call bridge facilities; NAV facilities; fund leverage facilities; acquisition and corporate facilities; unitranche and super senior financing structures; asset based lending and receivables financings; and structured financings and securitisations.
He also has experience on real estate investment and development financings (specifically including built-to-rent, student accommodation and hotel financings).
Experience
- Advising 17Capital on the closing of 17Capital Strategic Lending Fund 6, which has successfully held a final closing at $5.5bn including co-investment and affiliated entities.
- Advising Alchemy on the financing aspects of its fifth special opportunities fund, Alchemy Special Opportunities Fund V (ASOF V), which has closed with €1bn in capital commitments.
- Advising long-standing client Legal & General on the provision of a £265m debt facility for its build-to-rent fund with a lender club including Lloyds, NatWest and ING.
- Advising Shawbrook Bank Limited on borrowing base facilities made available to First Stop Loans and 118 118 money.
- Advising Legal & General plc on development facilities in order to the fund the development of residential units in Salford, Bath and Birmingham.
- Advising Hogg Robinson plc on its £150m syndicated loan facilities.
- Advising Alchemy Special Opportunities LLP on its investor call bridge facilities for various funds.
- Advising 17Capital LLP in relation to its investor call bridge facilities.
- Advising AIG on the financings of a premier central London hotel, a student accommodation provider and a residential and commercial development in South London.
