Christopher advises sponsors and investors on private capital fund transactions, including primary fundraisings, secondary transactions, co-investments and carried interest arrangements. He also acts on spin-outs of new management teams and first time fund formations, and has advised a number of his clients over multiple fundraising cycles.
He helps clients who operate across a range of asset classes, including private equity, credit, real estate, venture and growth capital, and secondary capital.
Christopher is a member of the Association of Partnership Practitioners and has participated in Invest Europe’s working groups on legal and regulatory affairs.
Christopher joined the firm in 2004, and has been a partner since 2014.
Experience
- Advising 17Capital on the raising of its sixth Strategic Lending Fund, which successfully held a final closing at $5.5bn.
- Advising Synova on its fifth fund, Synova V, which closed at its hard cap of £875m (exceeding its target of £750m).
- Advising Northern Gritstone, a new investment business focused on university spinouts in the north of England, on its initial fundraising, which raised £215m.
- Advising Alchemy Special Opportunities on successfully raising its fifth special opportunities fund, which closed with commitments of €1.0 billion, in excess of its original target.
- Advising an international secondary investor as lead buyer into the PAI/Froneri €3.6 billion continuation fund, one of the biggest European secondary transactions of 2025.
