Georgia advises high-net-worth entrepreneurs and their family offices on a broad range of tax, trust and estate planning issues. Her work frequently involves international tax considerations and complex cross-border structuring.

Georgia has extensive experience advising entrepreneurs and family offices on the creation and operation of international asset-holding structures and family office structures as well as the development of family governance practices. She also advises on a wide range of private client issues such as tax, wills, and estate and succession planning. The majority of her work has an international element.

Experience

  • Undertaking a detailed review of the operation of a family asset holding structure and advising on issues from a governance and investment structuring perspective.
  • Advising the family of a high-profile entrepreneur and their family holding company on the transfer of the holding company structure outside of the UK and the relocation of the family members to jurisdictions other than the UK.
  • Advising a long-established family trust with a high-value international asset portfolio on a complex trust restructuring involving multi-jurisdictional tax and trust law issues. This involved establishing a new long-term dynastic trust structure which will operate as a multi-generational succession planning vehicle.
  • Advising individuals and trustees in relation to tax investigations and disclosures relating to complex offshore structures.
