Helen has over 20 years’ experience at Macfarlanes and external banks and brokers advising, them and hedge funds, investment managers and managed account platforms on derivatives, prime brokerage and securities finance.
She advises on a broad range of documents and transactions and has extensive knowledge in repo and securities lending, prime brokerage and specialises in derivatives and primarily International Swaps and Derivatives Association documentation.
Helen has experience advising on ISDA, repo and prime brokerage arrangements, and stock lending master agreement and master confirmations; and also more complex OTC derivative transactions including portfolio swaps; futures and listed options.
Prior to her time at Macfarlanes, Helen was a Vice President in the legal department at Credit Suisse. Before this she worked in the legal departments at HSBC, in London and New York and also at JPMorgan, giving her an extensive knowledge on both the sell-side and buy-side including regulatory, internal policies, procedures and issues, as well as the negotiation of derivative documentation.
