Katie advises clients on the structuring and ongoing operation of onshore and offshore regulated investment funds with a particular focus on UK authorised funds.

She regularly advises large asset managers, “host” authorised corporate directors and other fund service providers on matters related to UK authorised funds (UCITS, NURS, QIS and LTAFs) including fund launches, changes to established funds, fund closures as well as domestic and cross border fund mergers. Katie also has experience advising on charity authorised investment funds, the Overseas Fund Regime and ongoing ESG regulatory developments including the UK SDR and the EU SDFR and Taxonomy Regulation.

Clients value Katie’s friendly and diligent approach, which is particularly recognised when assisting institutional asset managers with time-sensitive regulatory matters spanning UK fund ranges.

Katie was recognised in the UK Legal 500 directory as “Key Lawyer” and “SDR authority” for retail funds in 2025.

Alongside her client work, she is a member of the firm’s ESG working group and founded the firm’s ESG internal hub, which was recognised at the Legal Week Innovation Awards 2022. Katie is also a member of the firm’s Community and Charity Committee.

Experience

  • Advising Partners Group on the launch of its first private credit focussed Long-Term Asset Fund, the Partners Group Generations Private Credit LTAF.
  • Advising Jupiter with obtaining approval from the FCA for two sustainability labels in accordance with the FCA’s Sustainability Disclosure Requirements.
  • Advising Fulcrum Asset Management LLP, and its independent authorised corporate director Waystone Management (UK) Limited, on the launch of its second open-ended private market focussed fund under the Long-Term Asset Fund (LTAF) regime.
