Kirsty is experienced across a broad range of commercial real estate matters with a particular focus on corporate and operational real estate.

She has a depth of experience advising private equity houses, financial institutions, developers and investors on all aspects of the property life cycle, including acquisitions (on both a corporate and asset basis), development, financing, management, lettings and disposals.

Kirsty has led transactions involving sales and purchases of large property portfolios (including care homes, shopping centres and holiday parks), individual sites (whether for investment or development purposes), complex development and promotion agreements, build-to-rent development, commercial lettings and sale and leaseback transactions.

With a specialism in the hotels sector, Kirsty works alongside a number of high profile clients in relation to landmark hotels, whether in respect of day to day operations, acquisitions, development or the financing of operational hotel assets.

Experience

  • Advising Investec Bank PLC and Rathbones Group PLC on a long-term lease regear of 30 Gresham Street, London.
  • Advising private equity firm Epiris on the real estate aspects of the acquisition of Amber Taverns by one of its advised funds, Epiris Fund III.
  • Advising Twenty14 Holdings on the acquisition and financing of the Great Scotland Yard Hotel, London.
  • Advising the Maybourne Hotel Group on the on the proposed redevelopment of Claridge’s and the Berkeley Hotel.
  • Advising Investec on the complex property separation aspects of their £839m combination of Investec W&I UK with Rathbones.
  • Advising Parkdean Holidays on the refinancing of its holiday park portfolio, £960m merger with Park Resorts, and the £1.35bn sale of the merged Parkdean Resorts Group to Onex Corporation.
  • Advising Berkeley Homes’ joint venture with Prudential Assurance Company, St Edward Homes, in relation to its proposed residential redevelopment of Hartland Park, a 135 acre site including land swap elements.
  • Advising the Access Development Partnership and build-to-rent fund on its acquisition and financing of a future PRS development site in Leeds.
  • Acting in connection with loans secured on a variety of real estate asset classes including offices, retail, hotels, student accommodation, development projects and ground rent portfolios.
