Lora advises clients on the structuring and operation of onshore and offshore investment funds, both regulated and unregulated, and also advises on all legal aspects of asset management. She specialises in regulated funds.
Her clients include operators, asset managers, depositaries and custodians of investment funds as well as family offices. Advice is wide ranging and incorporates restructurings and reorganisations, outsourcing and hosting arrangements, investment management agreements, depositary agreements, platform and distribution arrangements and compliance with UK and EU ESG regimes.
Lora is included in the UK Legal 500’s Hall of Fame, ranked as a Band 1 lawyer in Chambers and Partners and is listed in The Lawyer’s Hot 100 2020. Lora has also been named as one of the 50 Women Leaders in The Hedge Fund Journal's Private Markets 2024 report. She regularly speaks at flagship industry events and is frequently quoted by leading industry publications.
Lora is an active participant in Investment Association (IA) initiatives and was heavily involved in advising the FCA and the IA on the regulatory framework for the Long-Term Asset Fund (LTAF). She is also on the Technical Expert Group for the Pensions & Private Capital Expert Panel, the Alternative Investment Management Association working groups in relation to UCITS, AIFMD and Liquid Alternatives and is chair of the International Bar Association’s Asset Management and Investment Funds Committee.

- Advising L&G Asset Management on a strategic partnership with Blackstone.
- Advising Octopus Energy Generation and Carne Global Fund Managers (UK) Limited on the launch of a non-UCITS retail scheme fund of alternative investment funds (NURS FAIF).
- Advising Partners Group on the launch of its first private credit focussed Long-Term Asset Fund, the Partners Group Generations Private Credit LTAF.
- Advising Fulcrum Asset Management LLP, and its independent authorised corporate director Waystone Management (UK) Limited, on the launch of its second open-ended private market focussed fund under the Long-Term Asset Fund (LTAF) regime.
- Advising Carne Group on the regulatory approval from the FCA for the launch of a private equity-focused Long Term Asset Fund (LTAF) in collaboration with WTW.
- Advising Jupiter Asset Management on the acquisition of the team and institutional assets of Origin Asset Management.
- Advising Fidelity International on its diversified private assets Long-Term Asset Fund (LTAF), the Fidelity Diversified Private Assets LTAF.
- Advising Legal & General Asset Management (L&G) on the launch of its diversified private markets Long-Term Asset Fund (LTAF), the Legal & General Private Markets LTAF.
- Advising Arcmont Asset Management, and its independent authorised corporate director, Carne Global Fund Managers (UK) Ltd, on the launch of an open-ended private debt focussed fund under the Long-Term Asset Fund (LTAF) regime.
- Advising Fulcrum Asset Management LLP, and its independent authorised corporate director Waystone Management (UK) Limited, on the launch of an open-ended private market focussed fund under the Long-Term Asset Fund (LTAF) regime.
- Advising Link Fund Solutions on the funds aspects of entering into a definitive agreement to sell the business and certain assets of its independent UK authorised fund management business to the Waystone Group.
