Louise Zekaria
Director of Inclusion and Corporate Social Responsibility
Louise leads our inclusion and corporate responsibility agenda, shaping firm wide strategy alongside sustainability and ESG. She brings senior‑level experience, practical insight and a clear, outcome‑focused approach to culture and community impact.
Since joining Macfarlanes in 2017, Louise has worked with partners and senior management to design and implement the firm’s award‑winning inclusion and corporate social responsibility programmes, which span culture, pro bono, community volunteering, charitable partnerships and environmental sustainability. She began her career as a senior associate at a magic circle firm, including a client secondment to establish a European pro bono programme. She then moved to a global law firm, where she developed and embedded an international corporate responsibility and D&I programme over seven years.
An advocate for collaboration, Louise is a current co-Chair of Legal CORE (Collaboration on Race and Ethnicity) together with Nina Goswani of Clifford Chance. Louise is also part of Moving Ahead’s Client Advisory Group, and serves as a trustee of an arts organisation supporting early career artists, reflecting her sustained commitment to widening participation and impact.
