Martha advises on a wide range of commercial contract, intellectual property, and information technology matters with a particular focus on outsourcing, emerging technologies, joint ventures, and collaborations.

Martha specialises in advising public and private technology-driven companies and financial services and investment firms on complex commercial contract and IP structuring matters.

Martha has had significant experience in information technology, including cloud computing, IT and process outsourcing across a range of sectors, including private health, financial services, commodities, and public services.

Martha also has experience advising on commercial contract and intellectual property matters in the context of high value corporate and M&A transactions, including strategic acquisitions, complex carve outs and joint ventures.

She also gained valuable client-side experience during her secondments to a world leading media company and international technology consulting firm, based in London

Much of Martha’s work has involved a cross border element as she previously worked at a US led global law firm.

  • Advised Cedar Capital Partners on commercial matters in the context of on its recapitalisation, with Ares Management Secondaries Funds, of five leading lifestyle hotels in European gateway cities.
  • Advised a Luxembourg family office that focuses on pan-European investments around property, logistics, green energy, and food supply on commercial and intellectual property structuring matters.
  • Advised a Japanese alternative energy technology group on a strategic joint venture to establish lithium-ion battery factories in the UK and India.
  • Advised several multinationals on information technology and cloud computing outsourcing, including a US credit ratings agency, minerals commodities trader, airline logistics company, and a British international medical equipment supplier.
