Sweta advises clients on all aspects of work relating to private funds with a primary focus on advising investment managers and sponsors on establishing and operating private investment funds. She advises across a range of asset classes, including private equity, venture, credit and infrastructure and works with clients ranging from first-time managers to global institutions.
In addition to advising on fundraisings, Sweta also regularly advises on structuring and implementing team incentive arrangements and advising institutional clients on their investment activity across primary, secondary and co-investment transactions.
Sweta has previously spent time on secondment at a global investment banking, securities and investment management firm.
Experience
- Advising Polus Capital Management on the launch of Polus Special Situations Fund, which has raised commitments of €890m.
- Advising Ancala, the leading independent infrastructure manager, on the sale of a minority stake to Vontobel, a listed global investment manager, to accelerate its growth plans.
- Advising Ancala on the closing of its third flagship infrastructure fund at €1.4bn.
- Advising Alcentra on European direct lending funds and strategic credit funds, as well as managed account vehicles.
- Advising venture capital investor Dawn Capital on the raising of its fifth flagship fund which raised $620m and a follow-on fund which raised an additional $80m.
- Advising Asper Investment Management Limited on the launch of its Article 9 SFDR fund investing in UK heating networks.
