Tania is experienced in all aspects of real estate investment driven activity, leading large multi-disciplinary transactions, often involving complex joint venture structures, forward funding arrangements, development agreements and pre-lets, and corporate real estate acquisitions and disposals.
Tania has a particular focus on the Living sector - leading on some of the sectors biggest deals, including complex BTR transactions, suburban “single family” BTR schemes, and market leading mixed-use developments. Tania is part of the British Property Federation’s BTR Committee, representative of her innovative work across the build-to-rent sector.
Tania also advises on the full spectrum of real estate activity in the office, logistics and operational sectors - acting for private equity real estate firms, institutional investors, private investors, and some of the industry’s major developers.
She also plays an active role in supporting and driving forward women and gender diversity initiatives within the real estate sector.
Experience
- Advising Legal & General on the speculative acquisition and development of a prime London urban logistics site.
- Advising Legal and General on its merger between the Federated Hermes Property Unit Trust and L&G’s Managed Property Fund, creating a combined fund value of £4.7bn.
- Advising Legal & General on its acquisition and forward funding of a build-to-rent site in Manchester in its joint venture with Nest and PGGM.
- Advising Legal & General on its £150m purchase and forward funding with property developer Telford Homes to deliver an innovative BTR development in Stratford, London.
- Advising on the funding and delivery of a £200m "Life and Mind Building" for the University of Oxford and the funding and development of a major science and innovation district at the University of Oxford’s Begbroke Science Park (both as part of L&G’s £4bn partnership with the University of Oxford).
- Advising Realstar on its £119.5m purchase and forward funding of Colindale Gardens development in north London as well as other BTR transactions for its “UNCLE” brand in Acton, Southall, Wembley and Leeds.
- Advising Stanhope and Cadillac Fairview on the acquisition of 70 Gracechurch Street in the City of London for c.£300m.
- Advising Supermarket Income REIT on the acquisition and financing of eight additions to its supermarket portfolio.
