Macfarlanes advises 17Capital on closing of 17Capital Strategic Lending Fund 6 at $5.5bn

Macfarlanes has advised long-standing client 17Capital on the closing of 17Capital Strategic Lending Fund 6, which has successfully held a final closing at $5.5bn, including co-investment and affiliated vehicles. The fund follows its predecessor, 17Capital Fund 5, which closed at $2.9bn in July 2021.

The fund will primarily provide non-dilutive, flexible financing solutions to private equity management companies (GPs) to fund larger GP commitments, support franchise growth and succession plans. It continues the successful strategy of the previous 17Capital Strategic Lending funds.

Macfarlanes has acted for 17Capital since its inception in 2008 and has advised it through six successful fundraisings over the past 17 years.
