Natural capital: nature based solutions

To date, the focus of business, regulators and financial market participants towards the E of ESG has to a great extent been on climate, reducing emissions and setting net zero targets. However, we are seeing a complimentary shift of focus developing towards nature and out of this, nature-based solutions.

Nature based solution is a land-based project which will lead to nature recovery, habitat restoration and will often involve improving watercourses. It may even cover re-wilding in terms of introducing species or even regenerative farming, David Short at Lux Nova.
