Emma undertakes a broad range of corporate work across private equity, domestic and cross-border M&A and corporate advisory.

Emma acts for a wide client base, including private equity houses, management teams and large corporates. She advises on mergers, acquisitions and disposals, restructurings and joint ventures, and general company and corporate governance.

Emma is an active member of the firm’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Associate Working Group and the cross-department Consumer & Retail Group.

Advising NortonLifeLock Inc., a NASDAQ-listed provider of consumer Cyber Safety solutions, on its recommended cash and stock merger with FTSE100 company Avast plc, a leading global cybersecurity provider, in a transaction attributing an enterprise value to Avast of up to $9.2bn.

Mediq

Advising the management team of Mediq, an international healthcare company with its headquarters in the Netherlands, on their equity investment arrangements alongside private equity sponsor, Advent International.

Avant Homes Group

Advising on the sale of Avant Homes Group, one of the UK’s leading private residential property developers, to private developer Berkeley DeVeer in partnership with funds advised by Elliott Advisors, an affiliate of global fund manager Elliott Investment Management.

Alchemy

Advising Alchemy on its participation in a proposed fundraising by Countrywide plc, the largest property group in the UK, which would have involved Alchemy acquiring at least 50.1% of the enlarged share capital of Countrywide.

Smith & Williamson

Advising Smith & Williamson on its £1.8bn merger with Tilney Group, including the restructuring of the transaction and Warburg Pincus’ co-investment alongside Permira.

Epiris

Advising Epiris on its £206m acquisition of the financial services business IFG Group.
