About

Will has over 25 years’ experience advising clients including funds/professional investors, corporate groups and entrepreneurs/family offices, both in the UK and internationally, on all aspects of company law and transactions. This includes start-ups, through investments, acquisitions and disposals, cross-border mergers, financing, joint ventures, complex reorganisations/restructurings and insolvency.

Will’s practice is unusually varied by City standards, allowing him to bring a broad commercial perspective to his transactional advice along with technical knowledge across an extremely wide spectrum. Besides the UK, he has lived and worked in the US and the Middle East and acted for clients from most parts of the world.

  • Advising UK headquartered pharmaceutical contract manufacturer, Sterling Pharma Solutions, on its acquisition of Novartis Ringaskiddy, a specialist pharmaceuticals manufacturing plant in Ireland.
  • Advising Canadian online retailer, Sleep Country Canada Inc, on its acquisition of UK based Simba Sleep.
  • Advising UK housebuilder, Persimmon Homes, on the sale of its in-house broadband installation business to infrastructure fund, BUUK.
  • Advising investment funds advised by Crestline Management on their debt and equity investment in aviation service group, 2Excel.
  • Advising US private equity house Wellspring Capital on the merger of its portfolio company Airswift, with Competentia, a global recruiting and workforce management specialist and the subsequent acquisition of Energy Resourcing, another global recruitment manager.
  • Advising hospitality business, Big Table Group, on its acquisition of a portfolio of high-street dining brands from The Restaurant Group.
  • Advising a Brazilian investment fund on the sale of its stake in global retail joint venture, Global Brands, to its JV partner.
