Susie qualified at Macfarlanes in 2008 and is an experienced employment lawyer advising on both contentious and non-contentious matters. She has a particular focus on clients in the financial services sector, including limited liability partnerships.
Working closely with boards, senior management, General Counsel and HR teams, Susie is a trusted adviser known for delivering pragmatic, commercial advice. Her practice spans the full range of day-to-day HR issues, business-wide projects such as restructurings, redundancies and TUPE transfers, and contractual matters including bonus arrangements and restrictive covenants. She frequently advises on senior manager exits across public and private companies and LLPs, and has extensive experience in Employment Tribunal litigation, including litigation strategy and settlement negotiations.

- Advising long-standing client Hayfin on its agreement with Arctos Partners, a private investment firm, to support a management buyout of the business, acquiring British Columbia Management Corporation’s majority stake.
- Advising Hayfin on its strategic partnerships with Mubadala Investment Company and AXA IM Prime.
- Advising Hayfin on its strategic partnership with Samsung Life Insurance.
- Advising Isio on the debt financing, management equity and management employment arrangements in connection with Isio’s agreement to acquire Deloitte Total Reward and Benefits Limited (DTRB), the UK pensions advisory business of Deloitte LLP.
