Carrie is a member of our litigation and dispute resolution team, specialising in international contentious trust, high-net-worth family, and probate disputes.

Carrie has experience advising in relation to complex and high-profile litigation, that often involves cross-border elements, as well as other forms of dispute resolution. She has experience acting in the English courts and in offshore jurisdictions. Carrie has also acted on a wide range of contentious matters, including commercial, corporate and fraud disputes, acting for large corporates as well as individual clients and trustees.

She is a member of the London Solicitors Litigation Association and the Contentious Trusts Association.

Experience

  • Advising the trustees of business-owning trusts worth many hundreds of millions of pounds on a succession-related dispute between the family members and beneficiaries.
  • Advising the trustees of English employee benefit trusts on the distribution of substantial trust funds.
  • Acting for Betgenius and Genuis Sports in the complex, interwoven competition claim by Sportradar against FDC, Betgenius and Genius Sports and counterclaims by Betgenius and FDC against Sportradar and a representative group of Sportradar’s scouts for breach of confidence, trespass and conspiracy to injure by unlawful means. These claims were jointly case managed and heard together across the Competition Appeal Tribunal and High Court in a five week trial (which settled mid-way though the trial), and gave rise to novel procedural issues.
  • Representing the defendant against a £150m conspiracy claim brought against it and a leading UK bank relating to the acquisition of a high-street retailer.
  • Representing a number of corporate and individual defendants against a multi-million High Court conspiracy claim.
