Kartik is an associate in the derivatives and trading group. He advises a number of asset managers, hedge funds, banks, pension funds, high-net-worth individuals and corporates across a broad range of brokerage, derivatives, securities financing, structured finance and regulatory matters.
Kartik negotiates trading agreements for buy-side and sell-side clients across a number of asset classes, specifically prime brokerage, custody, ISDA, OTC clearing and exchange traded derivatives agreements, and provides related regulatory advice. He also advises on significant risk transfer transactions and debt trades.
During his time at Macfarlanes, Kartik has undertaken a secondment at a leading multinational investment bank, where he worked in the prime brokerage department.
Kartik is a member of the firm’s structured finance working group, participates in industry association initiatives and is also a regular author of legal updates.
