Alex frequently acts for entrepreneurs and their family offices, advising on structuring, tax and succession issues for complex corporate groups and family assets.
Many of his clients are founders or senior executives of private capital firms, where he advises on remuneration, carried interest and co-investment arrangements.
Alex also advises on trust law and on governance and asset protection issues relating to asset-holding structures for private clients.
Alex regularly advises on HMRC investigations and disputes involving individuals and trusts.
In 2022, Alex spent time on secondment at the London office of a large international private bank, working on a range of cross-border legal and planning issues for clients in the UK, Europe, the US and the Middle East.
