About

Christian advises on a range of contentious and non-contentious competition law matters, spanning competition damages litigation, investigations and merger control from both a UK and EU perspective.

Christian has multiple years of experience acting for clients in the financial and automotive sectors in several high-value multi-party standalone and follow-on damages claims before the High Court and Competition Appeal Tribunal, including collective proceedings, with several aspects of these cases progressing to the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court.   His experience also includes acting for clients in the financial services and construction sectors in relation to investigations brought by competition authorities in the UK and EU over alleged anti-competitive conduct.

In addition to his contentious focus, Christian continues to advise on merger control and foreign direct investment matters, including as part of formal in-depth reviews opened by competition authorities into whether to clear transactions from a competition perspective.  Christian also advises clients on competition compliance, helping clients to design risk-based frameworks, conduct audits and deliver practical training.

Christian has spent time on secondment at the firm’s office in Brussels.
