Luke is the firm’s managing partner, having been appointed in May 2022.

From 2018 to 2022, Luke was the co-head of our corporate and M&A team and he remains a partner in the group advising on all aspects of M&A transactions. Luke has experience in many sectors but particularly specialises in financial services, asset management and private equity (both buy-outs and secondaries).

Clients for whom he acts regularly include Chrysalis Investments, Federated Hermes, Glendower Capital, Goldman Sachs, Keyhaven Capital, Legal & General and Permira.

Goldman Sachs

Advising Goldman Sachs on multiple transactions including the acquisition of the NBG funds from National Bank of Greece S.A.

Legal & General

Advising Legal & General on multiple transactions, including its investments in Pemberton and Salary Finance.

Arcmont

Advising Arcmont on its spin-out from BlueBay Asset Management, backed by Dyal Capital Partners, and its establishment as a stand-alone business.

Keyhaven Capital

Advising Keyhaven Capital on a funding commitment of up to €260m from Aleph Capital Partners and Crestview Partners into DARAG, a Keyhaven portfolio company specialising in acquiring run-off insurance portfolios.

Hermes Investment Management

Advising Hermes Investment Management on the sale of a 60% interest to Federated Investors.

J.C. Flowers & Co.

Advising J.C. Flowers & Co. on multiple transactions, including its acquisition of Interactive Investors and Cabot Credit Management Limited.

L3Harris Technologies

Advising L3Harris Technologies on its sale for $1bn of its Security Detection and Automation businesses to Leidos Holdings, Inc., its £224m acquisition of MacDonald Humfrey (Automation) Limited, its £143m acquisition of CTC Aviation from Inflexion Private Equity Partners and on the £83m acquisition of Thales’ civil aircraft simulation and training business.
