Charity of the year

Each year a charity of the year is selected by a firmwide vote from a set of shortlisted charities nominated by members of staff from across the firm.

As well as fundraising, we offer legal pro bono advice, operational and governance support, meeting room space and volunteering time.

Dementia UK

This year (2023-2024), our charity of the year is Dementia UK. Dementia UK is the specialist dementia nursing charity that helps anyone affected by dementia. Their specialist nurses, known as Admiral Nurses, provide life-changing advice and support through their helpline, clinic service or in the community.

Previous charities of the year

Our last charity of the year (2022-2023) was Haven House Children’s Hospice. Haven House provides specialist care to children (up to the age of 18) who have life-limiting or life-threatening conditions.

We are thrilled to be working with Macfarlanes LLP over the next year. Every penny raised during our partnership will fund a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse in London and support families through our national Helpline. I’d like to share a massive thank you with every colleague who voted for Dementia UK and supports us over the coming year.
