Macfarlanes advises ARA Venn on restructuring of its European property lending business

Macfarlanes has advised ARA Venn, the private real estate debt subsidiary of Singaporean investment management firm ARA Asset Management, on the separation of its European residential and commercial property lending activities through a reorganisation of its real estate debt business.

The firm moved its commercial real estate lending business from ARA Venn to ARA Europe, its European real estate investment management platform.

The Macfarlanes team was led by corporate and M&A partner Tom French with assistance from senior associate Dan Hobbs, associate Elizabeth Compton, private funds partner Harriet Miller and associate Caroline Chu. Tax advice was provided by partner Jeremy Moncrieff with assistance from senior counsel Alex Ereria.
