CBPE Capital Fund IX closes at £459m Hard CAP
Macfarlanes has advised UK mid-market private equity investor CBPE Capital LLP (CBPE) on the fundraising and subsequent closing for its latest fund, CBPE Capital Fund IX.
The Macfarlanes team comprised head of investment management group, partner Stephen Robinson, with investment management solicitor Harriet Hamilton. Partner Mark Baldwin and solicitor Art Ward advised on the tax aspects of this matter.
CBPE remained with its hard cap of £459m despite the fund being oversubscribed. There are 20 investors in total, comprising existing investors alongside commitments from a select number of new sophisticated LPs. CBPE has already made an investment from Fund IX, in ABI, a leading manufacturer of caravan holiday homes.
