Macfarlanes has advised the Arora Group on the exchange of a landmark development agreement to build a new 298-bedroom hotel at Terminal 2 (the Queen’s Terminal), Heathrow. This is the first hotel planned within the Central Terminal Area.

This follows Macfarlanes advising on agreements for the development of two new hotels – the Crowne Plaza London and Holiday Inn Express London – for Heathrow’s Terminal 4 and the purchase of the Hilton London Stansted.

Real estate partner, Nick Barnes, supported by real estate consultant Charles Horsfield, led the Macfarlanes team, which also consisted of construction partner Angus Dawson and real estate assistant Kate Foster.

Speaking on behalf of Macfarlanes, Nick said: “We are delighted to have played a key part in another exciting development for our long-standing client, the Arora Group. We are proud to partner with the Arora Group in their ambition to provide best in class facilities to the market.”

Surinder Arora, Founder and Chairman of the Arora Group, said: “The people at the Arora Group are experts in this kind of development and we proudly bring another hotel to the Heathrow area with a direct connection to the Queen’s Terminal, Terminal 2.  It will meet the demand of guests for a new hotel a short walk to Terminal 2 and will have 298 bedrooms, a restaurant and bar.”
